The Department of Sports Science and Yoga, School of Rehabilitation and Sports Sciences, RKMVERI (Deemed University), Belur Math is organizing a fifteen day webinar series on the topic “Science of Pranayama” sponsored by Inter University Centre for Yogic Sciences, Bengaluru, which will cover topics on classical scriptural basis of pranayama as well as modern scientific evidence on the health benefits of pranayama.

This webinar series of 15 lectures covering various aspects of pranayama in special reference to the scriptural basis of pranayama, as well as evidence based modern scientific basis of pranayam, both from the point of theory and practice, based on our ancient authentic scriptures as well as modern scientific (neuro-physiological and cardiological evidence). We have drawn speakers from a large pool of competent monks of Ramakrishna Order available at our University and those elsewhere in India and abroad, scientists (neuro, cardiological, physiological, psychological, etc.), Psychiatrists and medical doctors.
