Day 1 (06/12/25): The day began with theoretical sessions by Dr. Pahan, covering fundamental principles of S&C and the scientific progression of the field over the years. Key concepts such as periodization and long-term athletic development were discussed to emphasize the importance of structured planning for peak performance.
Following this, Mr. Sidiq conducted an interactive practical session where participants designed microcycles for different athlete profiles. Discussions focused on refining exercise selection, assessment protocols, progression–regression strategies, and developing an exercise library to support individualized programming.
Day 2 (07/12/25): The morning practical session engaged participants in fundamental movement and power-development drills tailored for young and beginner athletes. Emphasis was placed on effective coaching cues and instructional methods for skill acquisition.
The afternoon session focused on technical instruction of Olympic weightlifting movements, including the Clean & Jerk and Snatch. Participants learned step-by-step progressions, key variations of the lifts, and their applications in sport-specific performance enhancement.
The workshop concluded with an insightful discussion wherein Mr. Sidiq shared real-world coaching experiences, addressing challenges faced in professional sporting environments. A lively Q&A session allowed participants to clarify concepts before the closing valedictory ceremony.
Conclusion: The two-day workshop successfully combined theory and practical learning, providing participants with updated knowledge and hands-on coaching experience in contemporary strength training practices. The resource persons ensured that every session was interactive, informative, and aligned with real-world athletic demands. Participants gained valuable skills in planning, demonstrating, and evaluating training programs. The initiative further strengthened the department’s commitment to developing competent Strength and Conditioning professionals prepared for diverse sporting environments.
