Preamble:
The Ministry of Ayush, Government of India is conducting a wide spread movement as a nationwide celebration of the 100 days countdown to the International Day of Yoga 2024, observed on 21st June each year. Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) is designated to coordinate the event, and has sanctioned Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute to conduct a one-day Yoga program to mark this countdown at its premises.
The Department of Sports Science and Yoga, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute celebrated the 62nd day of the 100 day countdown on 20 April 2024 and as a sequel to that, a one-day national level seminar on “Scientific Principles of Yogic Practices” (SPYP 2024) will be held on 9 June 2024, in accordance to schedule below

Research Paper Presentation – Guidelines
General Guidelines:
- There will be two groups, in each group maximum 10 papers will be selected:
- Group A: Undergraduate, PG Students and Research Scholars of Yoga- presentation venue: Saradananda Seminar Hall
- Group B: Teachers ( College & University level only) – presentation venue: Atma Vikas room 205
- Abstract submission: A one-page abstract of maximum 500 words has to be uploaded/submitted in PDF format (max size 1 MB) at the time of registration, abstract should be written in double space with title, details (name, designation, email, phone number) of all authors, including corresponding author. At the time of abstract submission please mention which theme the paper
- Abstracts will be scrutinized and abstracts selected for paper presentation will be informed by 2 June 2024
- There will be 2 prizes (1st & 2nd) in both groups.
- Valid ID Proof to be shown at the end of the PowerPoint Presentation
- Format : PPT, PDF or Google slides containing 10-15 slides
- Time Allotted for each presentation 15 minutes (10 -12 minutes presentation and 3- 5 minutes for Question & Answer)

Abstract of Poster
- A one-page abstract of maximum 250 words has to be uploaded/submitted in PDF format (max size 1 MB) at the time of registration, abstract should be written in double space with title, details (name, designation, email, phone number) of all authors, including corresponding author. At the time of submission please mention which theme the paper
- Abstracts will be scrutinized and abstracts selected for poster presentation will be informed before 2 June 2024
Poster Presentations guidelines
- A1 size (59.5cm x 84.1 cm or 23.4 inches x 33.1 inches)
- Be sure to include the main title, names of author co authors, and the affiliation(s) and the email address of corresponding author.
- Recommended Template (please use this file)
- Main title: 48 (bold); Authors: 30 (bold); Affiliation(s): 30; Email address of corresponding author: 30; Subheadings: 38 (bold); Body of text: 32.
- Smaller fonts may be used in citations and acknowledgement. You may please use graphs, tables, references, etc.
- The designated poster presenter (author or coauthor) must be present at the assigned space during the designated time to discuss the work presented.
- Tips for Poster Preparation
- Posters should stimulate discussion, not give a long presentation. Therefore, keep text to a minimum, emphasize graphics, and make sure every item included in your poster is necessary.
- Make sure ideas flow logically from one section to the next.
- Use charts and graphs to illustrate data (avoid large tables of raw data).
- Use high resolution photographs (web images often will not work).
- The use of handwriting as a poster is unacceptable.
- Keep consistent margins and line spacing.
- Test readability.
- There will be 3 prizes (1st , 2nd & 3rd) in poster presentation.
