Preamble:
The Department of Sports Science and Yoga, RKMVERI, Belur takes immense pleasure in organizing the Online National Conference on Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) to bring together leading experts, practitioners, researchers and stakeholders who are dedicated to fostering the holistic growth of athletes. The mission of the conference is to explore, discuss and advance the best practices and strategies that promote sustainable athletic development, ensuring the well-being and success of athletes throughout their lives.
The conference is organized while recognizing the multifaceted aspects of athlete development, including physical, physiological, psychological, social and educational dimensions. This conference aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice, offering a platform for sharing cutting-edge research, evidence-based strategies and real-world experiences that contribute to the development of young athletes.
This conference is a call to action for all stakeholders to collaborate, ensuring that our young athletes are provided with the best opportunities to succeed. We welcome you to this gathering and look forward to the insightful discussions, collaborative spirit and innovative ideas as we work together to advance the field of Long-Term Athlete Development in India.
The conference will include sessions by experts on strategies for promoting grassroots sports and physical activity participation throughout life. The scope of the conference presentations will span a wide range of topics broadly covered under the themes mentioned below.

Online Research Paper Presentation – Guidelines
There will be two groups for presentations:
- Group A: UG and PG Students and Research Scholars,
- Group B: Coaches and Sport Science Professionals, Teachers (School/College/University level )
There will be prizes (1st & 2nd places) in both groups for best paper presentations.
Guidelines for Abstract submission:
- A one-page abstract of maximum 500 words has to be uploaded/submitted in PDF format (max size 1 MB) at the time of registration, the abstract should be written in double space with title, details (name, designation, email, phone number) of all authors, specifying presenting author. At the time of abstract submission please mention which theme the paper belongs to.
- The research should be original, i.e., not already presented or accepted for presentation in any conference at the time of the abstract submission deadline.
- Following a review process by the scientific committee, all authors will be informed by email about the acceptance or rejection of their submission
Guidelines for Presentation:
- Presentation Format : PPT, PDF or Google slides containing 8-10 slides.
- Time allotted for each presentation is 10 minutes (8 minutes presentation and 2 minutes for Question & Answer).

- Last date of abstract submission: 30 November 2024 (one has to register first in order to submit abstract)
- Last date of registration: 30 November 2024
- Last Date of intimation of abstract acceptance: 30 November 2024 (Abstracts selection will be informed as and when it is submitted)
