An MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MoU) was made and executed on 15 April 2022 between Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Belur Math, West Bengal, and Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The MoU will have relevance to the field of Sports Science and Yoga in broader perspective and to a long-term collaboration, agreement and partnership in academic affairs based on mutual understanding, respect and the rules and regulations of the respective Institutions.
Some salient objectives of the MOU are
- Either institution may make available to the other institution the academic, research, experimentation, lab, training and other facilities, material, information, resources etc. subject to the conditions as mutually agreed by the Institutions for that purpose
- There will be exchange of students by the Institutions for academic, research, training, short term courses, internships and allied purposes and for such duration, as mutually agreed by the Institutions from time to time.
- Taking into account the New Education Policy 2020 and introduction of Academic Bank of Credits for students, the Institutions will explore the possibility of transfer of credits for the students, who wish to pursue a part of their course at the other University
- Faculty at either institution may be allowed to work as guide, advisor, evaluator etc. as required for thesis, dissertations, projects, evaluation, internship, training etc. as per the requirement of the other institution, as per terms mutually agreed by the Institutions for that purpose;
On behalf of LNIPE, Professor Arvind Singh Sajwan, Dean of Sports Science and Registrar, LNIPE signed and on behalf of RKMVERI, Swami Kirtipradananda, Registrar signed. Revered Vice Chancellor Swami Sarvottamananda graced the occasion.
