Applications are invited for a post of Assistant Professor for teaching, research and publications in the School of Indian Heritage.
Essential Qualifications
- PhD in areas having a bearing on Indian philosophy in general and yoga-vedanta in particular/physics-philosophy interface/Sanskrit with philosophical orientation/any other related area in Indian philosophical and spiritual heritage.
- Teaching and/or research experience of at least three years.
- Fairly sound knowledge of both Sanskrit and English.
- Basic knowledge of computer operation/applications.
Candidates with knowledge of the latest advancements in science (physics in particular) with the capacity to investigate into the interface between modern Western science and ancient Indian spiritual and philosophical wisdom will be preferred. Salary and allowances according to UGC scales and norms as obtaining in the State of West Bengal.
