Dr. Manohar Kumar Pahan, assistant professor in the Department of Sports Science and Yoga was nominated as a district-level Talent Identification Coach in athletics by Indian Athletics formerly known as Athletics Federation of India for the ASMITA League, 2025. The league was conducted by the Ranchi District Athletics Association in collaboration with Indian Athletics on 24 th November, 2025 in Ranchi district of Jharkhand.
About ASMITA Leagues
ASMITA (Achieving Sports Milestone by Inspiring Women Through Action) is a national-level sports initiative under the Khelo India Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS), Government of India. Formerly known as the Khelo India Women’s League, ASMITA represents the unyielding spirit, resilience, and strength of Indian women athletes. It aims to give face and voice to Indian women by empowering women through sports, offering platforms for talent identification, and by building a strong sporting culture for women. This league is organised by Khelo India initiative of MYAS through Sports Authority of India (SAI) in collaborations with various National Sports Federations and State/ District Associations.
