Admission for batch starting from January 2025
Applications are invited from MALE candidates only for admission to Certificate Course in “Strength & Conditioning in Sports” at Belur Main Campus (Classes start from January 2025) [Weekend programme].
Eligibility
- Male only, should be medically fit adults (Maximum age limit – 45 years)
- Minimum educational qualification– candidate should be at least 12th standard pass from a recognized board or institution, higher qualifications will be preferred
Target audience
- According to the UGC Guidelines for Pursuing Two Academic Programmes Simultaneously 2022, clause 1(a) “A student can pursue two full time academic programmes in physical mode provided that in such cases, class timings for one programme do not overlap with the class timings of the other programme.” (see guidelines).
- Students (B.Sc/ BPT/ B.P.E.S/B.P.Ed.) interested to pursue career in fitness and strength & conditioning can do this certificate program
- People working in fitness centers, gymnasium, sports and rehabilitation industry, sports industries as fitness trainer, gym instructor, coach, sports support staff and physiotherapist can enrich their knowledge through this certificate program
Curriculum Highlights
- Duration: 6 months (including exams)
- Total Teaching Weeks: 20 Weeks
- Total Contact Hours: 200 Hrs (Theory 120 hrs, Practical 80 hrs). Notional Contact Hours = 600 hours (for each contact hour, 2 hours of self study and assignments)
- Contact Hours/Week = 10 (200 teaching hours/ 20 weeks)
- Credit =20 ( 600 notional hours/ 30 hr per credit = 20, as per NCRF guidelines)
- Class timings: Sundays: 10am-1pm (2 Theory sessions of 1.5 hrs each), 2pm-5pm ( 1 Practical session )

How to Apply
- New applicants have to first register on the Online Admission Portal (https://isr.rkmvu.ac.in/admission) , then login and fill up the online application form.
- While filling up the online application-form attach the scanned copies of your passport size photo, mark-sheets and other applicable certificates/documents.
- After successfully submitting the application form, pay the application fee (INR 300.00) online from the same Portal. Link can be found under ‘Options’ next to the program name on the Dashboard.
- Once Application-form is successfully submitted and application-fee is paid, Receipt (also Application-summary) will be available for download from the same Portal from the ‘Dashboard‘.
- Admit Card for RKMVERI Admission Test & interview: will be available for download when the dates for RKMVERI Admission Test / Interview are announced. Check the Website / Admission Portal regularly for updates.
- RKMVERI Admission Test:
- Entrance test will be based on field based fitness tests (50 meter Sprint, Standing Broad Jump, Overhead Back Throw, Beep Test)

Admission Procedure
- Application should be applied only through Online Admission Portal (https://isr.rkmvu.ac.in/admission).
- Eligible candidates will be called for an offline Entrance Test on the basis of documents submitted by them. Submission of incomplete application and documents may lead to rejection of application.
- Candidates must obtain a medical fitness certificate from a registered physician.
- Entrance test will be based on field based fitness tests (50 meter Sprint, Standing Broad Jump, Overhead Back Throw, Beep Test)
- Scoring of field based test will be done according to the performance
- Candidates will be selected on the basis of scores obtained in physical fitness tests. The minimum qualifying marks will be 50% out of the total marks.
- Verification of documents will be conducted in the university premises. Failing to generate required documents may lead to rejection of application.
