- From 1992 to 1997, I was DIRECTOR (Sports Sciences), Sports Authority of India, Delhi Branch. As a Director (Sports Science), I was in charge of the following 3 sections: Human Performance Laboratory, Sports Medicine Center and Dope Control Laboratory.
The Human Performance Laboratory was engaged in providing scientific support to the national athletes and also to young children selected under the Talent Identification program. This Human Performance Laboratory consisted of various sports science departments, like exercise physiology, sports psychology, kinanthropometry, biomechanics. My duties were to supervise all the activities of Human Performance Laboratory, including the Talent Identification program, selection of talent at grass root level as well as the scientific monitoring of the selected sports children. As a Director, I used to supervise all the administrative and technical areas of the Sports Medicine Center and Dope Control Laboratories also, including the purchase and maintenance of major equipment, medicines, chemicals etc.
- As a senior sports scientist/sports physiologist, I was one of the members in the selection of Research Fellows for Sports Science Research Fellowship program from 1992 to 2002.
- I was a member of the technical committee for the selection of elite athletes. I accompanied the Indian Rowing Team to 2002 Busan Asian Games as a sports scientist to monitor the performance. India won the bronze medal in male coxless 4 events.
- I actively participated in the Pre Asian Games scientific congress held at National institute of Sports, Patiala in 1982.
- Monitoring the performance of the sports persons mainly in badminton, hockey, boxing, rowing, wrestling, middle and long distance running was the primary goal in my 20 yrs of career in National Institute of Sports, India.
- I contributed in developing sports science laboratories at various centers of National Institute of Sports in India.
- I was also one of the Reviewer of Projects of Department of Science & Technology, India (1992-1997).
